Man dies after shooting in Lidcombe, Sydney


  • The 38-year-old man was shot multiple times

A man has died following a shooting in Sydney’s west on Monday morning.

The 38-year-old man was found at a unit on Shale Street, Lidcombe by emergency services just after 4am.

He’d been shot multiple times.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to a Sydney hospital, where he died a short time later.

A second man at the scene suffered non-life threatening injuries during an assault. He was also taken to hospital. 

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command had been called to the unit following reports of a shooting.

Police established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A NSW Police spokesperson declined to confirm if police are still looking for the gunman.
