Chelsea’s players were hammered 5-2 by PSG on Wednesday night and L’Equipe were just as ruthless the following morning.
In their notoriously strict player ratings, the French publication handed out some brutally harsh marks.
Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, who had come in for Robert Sanchez, made a huge mistake that sparked Chelsea’s collapse.
He was given the lowest score of anyone on the pitch with a 2/10 after his pass out from the back was intercepted by Bradley Barcola before Vitinha made it 3-2.
Barcola, incidentally, was the highest-rated player by L’Equipe, receiving an 8/10, one more than team-mate Ousmane Dembele.
PSG boss Luis Enrique was also given a rare 8/10 and anything above a seven is regarded as superb.

L’Equipe handed out some typically harsh ratings after Chelsea were beaten 5-2

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen was given the lowest rating with a 2/10
Only two Chelsea players were given 3/10, with Wesley Fofana and Joao Pedro enduring difficult nights.
The Brazilian forward was given a massive build-up from his manager Liam Rosenior before the game but was not able to deliver as he has been in recent weeks.
‘Joao Pedro is terrifying right now,’ he had said. ‘He plays with confidence and freedom. He’s a world-class striker, in the same category as Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, or Kylian Mbappe.’
But even though the forward received a poor rating, some of his team-mates were well regarded in the French media.
Enzo Fernandez was handed a 7/10 despite the losing effort, Malo Gusto and Pedro Neto received 6/10, while the rest of the side ranged between four and six.
The lowest-rated PSG star was left-back Nuno Mendes on 3/10 and his team-mates were handed four or above.
After the game, Jamie Carragher pinpointed the clear area, also highlighted by L’Equipe’s ratings, that Chelsea need to fix.
He said Chelsea will be unable to win titles until they fix their goalkeeping situation, with Sanchez also having a reputation for costly mistakes.
Last season Sanchez made five errors leading to goals in the Premier League, the most on record (since 2007-08) by a Chelsea player in a single campaign.

Joao Pedro was only given a 3/10 after being given a huge build-up from his manager
‘It was the best game I’ve seen in the Champions League this season,’ Carragher said on CBS Sports.
‘Chelsea didn’t deserve to lose 5-2, but they only have themselves to blame for that. I’ve been critical of Chelsea for a long time. They can’t go any further until they sort the goalkeeping issue out. I’ve been saying this consistently.
‘The new owners have come in and spent billions. Looking at that team, they’ve got some great players. I think that in these early stages, Rosenior’s been brilliant. They caused PSG real problems.
‘They didn’t deserve to lose based on how they set up and the way they played. But, big mistakes cost them at centre-back and goalkeeper. That will continue to be an issue for any Chelsea manager going forward when they’re trying to win the Premier League and the Champions League, because they are a million miles off it.
‘That’s why they lost tonight. Tactically they were fantastic tonight. They were let down by a mistake by the goalkeeper at 2-2, and then the game just completely unravelled and now it looks like they’ve got no chance of going through.’
