Maxx Crosby’s Wife Reacts to His Stunning Failed Physical

Maxx Crosby’s wife, Rachel Crosby, responded after her husband’s failed physical sent shockwaves through the NFL.

Rachel shared a message from Maxx’s agent, CJ LaBoy, via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 10, which insisted the football star’s recovery from knee surgery was going as planned despite the news.

“Say it louder 👏🏻👏🏻,” Rachel wrote.

LaBoy said that “Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr. Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.”

Rachel and Maxx have been married since March 2023 and share daughter Ella, 3.

Maxx, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, March 6, but the Raiders announced the deal was off on Tuesday night.

“The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement with Maxx Crosby,” the team announced on social media. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

The Raiders had agreed to trade Maxx, 28, to the Ravens in exchange for two first-round picks.

Shortly after the bombshell, The Athletic reported that the Ravens pulled out of the deal over “a failed physical.”

Maxx underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee in January.

“The Ravens’ doctors — along with multiple independent ones — reviewed Crosby’s MRI. They were unified in the belief that Crosby’s short-term outlook was positive, but there were concerns about the long-term prognosis of Crosby’s knee,” sources told The Athletic.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Ravens deemed the risk in trading for Maxx amid the uncertainty was simply too high.

“The Ravens needed to bet the house on Maxx Crosby,” Rapoport said Wednesday, March 11, on Good Morning Football. “After the medical exams, after getting in there, after doing all the work that they had — they had preliminary work — [but] yesterday afternoon was the real work. They did not believe the risk was worth it, so the deal was off.”

Amid all of the discourse, Rachel Crosby spotlighted an impressive off-the-field accomplishment achieved by her husband.

“Our man is 6 years sober 🖤,” Rachel wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a photo of Maxx and their daughter. “None of this could of happened if you didn’t check yourself into rehab 6 years ago. We are proud of you daily! Your hard work and dedication doesn’t ever go unnoticed. Ella and I love you so much baby!”

She added, “God doesn’t make any mistakes 🦅.”
