Britain’s youngest Omaze winner has sold her dream house prize – for almost £1 million less than it was said to be worth when advertised in the draw.
Lauren Keene was just 24 when she won the ‘Hollywood Hills’ inspired mansion in an exclusive village on the Wirral peninsular which had a valuation of £3m according to the fundraising company.
The nanny told at the time how she had celebrated her amazing win with a McDonald’s Happy Meal – and revealed how she was thrilled to be finally able to move out from her Dad’s.
And Lauren, originally from Gloucestershire, speculated that she and her boyfriend Ryan Mitchell, a software engineer, might live in the mansion ‘for years’.
That was in December 2024 but within months Lauren had put the mansion in Caldy, Merseyside, on the market for the discounted price of £2.5m with the intention of stimulating a quick sale.
But even at that heavily reduced price she struggled to get interest and so after nine months decided to accept a further reduced offer of £2,150,000.
This amounts to £850,000 below the price it was said to be worth when raffled.
The stylish house comes complete with spectacular coastal views, a cinema room, and a heated outdoor swimming pool.

The listing described the house as ‘striking’ and ‘something truly special’.
It said: ‘Set within 1.18 acres of secluded, private grounds on Thorsway — the most exclusive road on the Wirral Peninsula — Rock Mount is a landmark contemporary home offering almost 4,700 sq. ft. of inspired living space.
‘Designed by renowned architects Shedkm, the property was nominated for the prestigious RIBA Mansell House of the Year award, praised by the judging panel as ‘an original and inspiring new composition that matches the quality of its setting in every way’.’
Lauren was on her way to grab a McDonald’s drive-thru after work when Omaze called her to say she’d won a prize.
She said she didn’t mind skipping her post work snack as ‘missing that Maccies made me a multi-millionaire.’
She did eventually celebrate with a McDonald’s later that evening, and added: ‘It was a very, very happy meal indeed.’
The full-time nanny from Gloucester also scooped £250,000 in cash.
She then lived with her father in his two-bed flat and joked: ‘He’s most delighted about the fact I can finally move out now.’
The luxurious property came mortgage-free and with all legal fees covered. Lauren, who bought her £3 million winning entry for just £20 as part of her Omaze subscription, has been with partner Ryan Mitchell, a software engineer from Liverpool, since they were both 18-years-old.
At the time Lauren added: ‘It was just an ordinary Friday really, I was heading for a McDonald’s after work when I got a call from Omaze telling me I’d won something. I was sceptical – and hungry – but went straight home to see what I’d won.
‘The next thing we knew, the Omaze team were all there telling us we’d won a £3 million mansion. I was gobsmacked.
‘It was definitely worth missing my McDonald’s for, it’s made me a multi-millionaire!
‘We did end up celebrating with a Maccies afterwards and it was a very, very happy meal indeed.’
