How Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber Defend Marriage

“I’m committed to getting better and committed to doing whatever I have to do, whether it’s inconvenient or not, because I know ultimately it’s not only for me,” the Ontario native, who’s been candid about past drug use and mental health struggles, said in 2020’s Justin Bieber: Sessions. “Being the best me is gonna help me be the best husband, the best father, the best friend that I can possibly be.”

Meanwhile, Hailey had told Vogue in 2019 that they were going to counseling and “fighting to do this the right way, to build a healthy relationship.”

“I’m not going to sit here and lie and say it’s all a magical fantasy,” the now-29-year-old said. “It’s always going to be hard. It’s a choice…But there’s something beautiful about it anyway—about wanting to fight for something, commit to building with someone.”

And their retrofitted foundation would soon come in handy.
