Samsung has announced the 9100 PRO Series SSDs, which are designed to deliver high performance and efficiency. These SSDs utilize the PCIe 5.0 interface, offering sequential read speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 13,400 MB/s. The 9100 PRO Series includes models with capacities ranging from 1TB to 8TB, with the 8TB version expected to be available in the second half of 2025. The SSDs also feature random read speeds of up to 2,200K IOPS and random write speeds of up to 2,600K IOPS. Additionally, the 9100 PRO Series is designed to be power-efficient, with up to 49% improved power efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The 9100 PRO Series SSDs are available in two versions: the standard 9100 PRO and the 9100 PRO with Heatsink. The Heatsink version provides additional thermal control, ensuring the drive remains cool during intensive tasks. These SSDs are suitable for a variety of applications, including gaming, AI projects, and 8K video editing. Samsung’s Magician Software is included to help users manage their drives, offering features such as data protection and firmware updates. The 9100 PRO Series SSDs will be available starting in March 2025, with prices ranging from $199.99 for the 1TB model to $569.99 for the 4TB model.
