Constantin Entertainment Produces First Vertical Dramas With Crisp

Constantin Entertainment is stepping into the vertical drama market. The German production-distribution powerhouse has just produced two series with 60 episodes each for international microdrama platform Crisp Momentum.

All episodes were made within the last eight weeks, making Constantin one of the first German players to enter the vertical drama space. U.S.-based Crisp Momentum is an international platform for vertical short-form content, focusing on IP-driven, mobile-first storytelling.

While titles are not yet being disclosed, the first series is set in a ruthless fashion empire where a desperate young designer is coerced by her stepmother into spying on a notorious playboy CEO.

The second series follows a hidden half-human Alpha prince who returns to claim his crown, only to find that his fated mate is the key to a power struggle that could destroy the kingdom from within.

In December, Constantin Entertainment released creator-driven AI-animated vertical drama Aminho-The Challenge. That follows a young street footballer chasing his breakthrough and is aimed at a global male Gen Z audience under the age of 24. The series is backed by Sketchers and launched on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, where it has already passed 10M views.

“Vertical dramas are a highly dynamic genre with enormous growth potential that will also conquer the European market,” says Otto Steiner, CEO of Constantin Entertainment. “With our first productions for the international market, we are bringing our creative and production expertise into a new storytelling ecosystem while actively shaping new narrative forms and delivering innovative content for changing viewing habits.”

Crisp Momentum’s Renger an den Heuvel added: “Europe is a key growth market for vertical dramas. With Constantin Entertainment, we have gained a partner that brings strong storytelling, high production quality and deep knowledge of the European market.”

The series will be available on the Crisp app in early April 2026.
