Gordon Ramsay is reliving a kitchen nightmare of his own.
The Hell’s Kitchen host revealed he once ejected a Hollywood legend from one of his world-renowned restaurants, though the slight wasn’t meant to be personal.
“I kicked out Joan Collins by accident,” he said during an appearance on the Feb. 20 episode of The Graham Norton Show before host Graham Norton countered, “Well, not quite by accident.”
Indeed, the restauranteur recalled that the Dynasty alum arrived with a food critic who had “absolutely panned” his establishment months prior, leading to an awkward encounter.
“I said to this critic, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’” Gordon, 59, explained, “but Joan was his guest, and so she was furious.”
After noting that he has since apologized to Joan, 92, for the inadvertent snub, Gordon—who shares kids Megan, 27, twins Holly and Jack, 26, Tilly, 24, Oscar, 6, and Jesse, 2, with wife Tana Ramsay—admitted that he has complex feelings about food critics, especially in the social media era.
