Introducing Yale Climate Connections’ new Spanish-language page » Yale Climate Connections

We are pleased to announce that Yale Climate Connections has launched a brand-new homepage for YCC en español, aimed at serving our growing Spanish-speaking audience in the U.S., the Caribbean, and beyond. This page makes it easy for readers to find all our Spanish-language content, access stories about specific countries and regions, and discover tips for how to stay safe during extreme weather events like hurricanes and extreme heat.

Our Spanish-language coverage was inspired by this 2017 study from our colleagues at the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, which found that three in four Latinos are worried about global warming — and Spanish-speaking Latinos have the highest rates of alarm. To meet the needs of these audiences, Yale Climate Connections has been regularly publishing stories in Spanish for the past three years under the direction of bilingual editor Pearl Marvell, with support from the CO2 Foundation.

“I’m excited to have a new layout that makes it so easy to access our content – whether you are interested in stories about a particular country or if you want the latest news about extreme weather – the content is right there,” Marvell said.

If you speak Spanish or know someone who does, check it out! We also have a WhatsApp channel where we publish all our Spanish-language articles and videos, and a new YouTube channel just for our Spanish-language content.

Gracias por acompañarnos y sigamos creciendo juntos.
