Bunnings products will soon be available for delivery in under 60 minutes after the hardware giant joins the Uber Eats delivery platform.
After a successful trial in Melbourne in January, a staged rollout across 15 Australian locations will see more than 30,000 products available at in-store prices, including DIY tools, garden gear, power washers, chairs, mops, pet food and lawnmowers.
Ryan Baker, Bunnings’ chief operating officer, said that while many customers enjoy browsing in-store, ‘there are times when convenience and speed are the priority’.
Uber Eats APAC regional general manager Lucas Groeneveld said ‘everyday essentials’ needed around the home would be available to order.
‘From last-minute DIY fixes and garden projects, to preparing for a BBQ or keeping a work site moving, this partnership makes it easier than ever for customers to get what they need, delivered on demand, whatever the occasion,’ he said.
Since launching as a food delivery service, Uber Eats has diversified into grocery and retail delivery, partnering with outlets including Pet Barn, Officeworks and EB Games.
