Influencer Melissa Weber is opening up about her recent pregnancy loss.
“Last Thursday morning I took myself to the emergency room with what had become the worst 6+ day migraine of my life. By the end of that same day, I started miscarrying,” Weber, who boast more than 12,000 followers on Instagram, wrote on Thursday, February 19, via Instagram, announcing her pregnancy loss.
“I was very sick in early pregnancy, and that sickness ultimately turned into loss which overall has me very off my own rocker,” she continued in the caption, alongside a black-and-white photo of her puppy, two positive pregnancy tests and a red broken heart emoji. “I know miscarriages are a numbers game. I truly believe that. Joey and I also firmly believe the right baby will stick, and we will make incredible parents one day soon.”
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated one in four pregnancies will end in a miscarriage, though experts believe that number to be higher as many people can experience a miscarriage without ever knowing they were pregnant. According to the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), the primary cause of early pregnancy loss is a random and fatal chromosomal abnormality in the embryo.
“I’m not looking for advice or sympathy,” Weber continued on Thursday. “I’m simply asking for prayers—for the right baby to come at the right time. And I’m sharing this because keeping it to myself would have felt like living a strange, silent lie.”
She added, “In the meantime, I’m slowly healing and finding my way back to myself… because truthfully, I haven’t felt like me in what feels like a fahkinggg minute.”

On Friday, February 20, Weber thanked her followers for their love and support while revealing that she had a minor “procedure” in the wake of her pregnancy loss.
“Thank you EVERYONE for all the love. I have read every message and deeply appreciate you all,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories, sharing a throwback vacation photo in Capri. “Had a small procedure today and I’m doing okay! Next week is a fresh start and a MASSIVE silver lining is we just booked a trip back to Capri this summer because I’ll be able to travel.”
She continued, “The tough moments remind me I am beyond privileged and so eternally grateful for my life and my loved ones around me.”
In another Instagram Stories post, the influencer revealed that she’s hoping to one day take maternity photos on the island alongside her husband, Joey Weber.
“Back in 2022 we did our official engagement photos on the island and here is my official manifestation that we’ll hopefully be doing our maternity photos there,” she wrote over another throwback vacation photo of the couple.
In subsequent Instagram Stories, Melissa shared photos of the candies, ice cream, cookies, red roses and other treats gifted to her by supportive friends and family as she recovers mentally, emotionally and physically.
“Arguably the most important. My moms stuffed peppers cooked with her marinara,” she wrote over a photo of the home cooked meal. “True heaven. I’ll forever attempt to replicate and I’ll fail 100/100 tries.”
