Popular snack sold at Coles, Aldi and Woolworths urgently recalled over contamination fears: Do not eat

Milo snack bars are being urgently recalled after rubber from a manufacturing machine contaminated some products.

Affected items include Milo Original Snack Bars 210g packs and Milo Dipped Snack Bars sold in 270g, 160g and 960g boxes.

‘A contract manufacturer experienced an equipment failure in their facility, resulting in small pieces of black rubber being dislodged during production of the products,’ a Nestlé spokesperson said.

‘Investigations indicate only a small number of products are affected; however, out of an abundance of caution, Nestlé is recalling specific batches to ensure consumer safety.’

Nestlé Oceania snacks general manager Andrew Lawrey urged customers to return affected products.

‘If you have purchased any of these products, please return them to the place of purchase for a full refund,’ he said.

‘The safety of our consumers is our absolute top priority. This recall is a precautionary measure in line with our strict product quality and safety protocols.

‘As soon as we became aware of the issue, we contacted authorities to initiate the recall and notified all relevant retailers.’

All recalled products carry best-before dates of August 31, 2026, along with specific batch numbers.
