Ousted border patrol commander Gregory Bovino’s social media comeback derails as he hits back at critics slamming him online

Ousted border patrol commander Gregory Bovino’s return to social media took a bizarre turn this week when he attempted to blast his critics.

The 55-year-old had been shut out of his X account since President Donald Trump abruptly reassigned him from overseeing operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, following the shooting death of ICU nurse Alex Pretti.

He has since regained control of the account, on which he responded to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, who called for Bovino to lose his job, along with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

‘Nah gubner, too busy leading agents to arrest illegal aliens,’ Bovino replied.

‘Besides, Chicago may need another double-digit drop in a whole smorgasbord of violent crime, compliments of the Green Machine. Perhaps we could meet for a sugar-free slice of heirloom apple pie – on me!’

Soon, Bovino started receiving comments mocking his physical appearance, calling him a fascist and urging him to seek therapy.

He then replied to each one.

When one person wrote that she ‘nearly had a stroke reading’ Bovino’s post, for example, he replied: ‘A stroke! My, my – seek help.’

In response to another X user’s crude comment calling him a Nazi, Bovino said ‘no pie for you.’

He added: ‘Maybe a bar of Dial soap to clean the mouth.’

Then when a third X user mocked his short stature, Bovino noted that the user had only 26 followers, claiming that he was ‘triggered.’

But others on the social media site celebrated Bovino’s return, with one user inviting him and ‘the boys’ to a homemade pasta dinner if he were to conduct operations in Chicago.

‘We’ll take care of you the Chicago way,’ the X user promised, claiming that ’99 percent of us here love what you’re doing.’

Yet President Trump withdrew Bovino from operations in Minneapolis following public outcry over the tactics used by federal agents and fatal confrontations during enforcement actions.

The administration replaced him with border czar Tom Homan, who pledged to scale back tensions and bring a different approach to the volatile situation.
