AI Resume Screening: How Employers Use It
You know that you can use AI to evaluate your resume as a particular applicant tracking system might.

Even if you don’t know what it is, I’ll tell you how to do it. So, if you know the applicant tracking system, you can simply say, “Act as if you were the [fill-in-the-blank] applicant tracking system. Evaluate this resume for this position based upon my resume.”
And if it’ll grade your resume, then from there say, “What can I do to optimize it for you?” And it will give you some suggestions for things that you can improve.
If you don’t know what it is—and I just experimented using Perplexity on this one; it was a job description for a position and it didn’t mention which ATS it was—so I asked Perplexity with the job description on the screen, “Look at my screen and tell me which applicant tracking system this firm uses.” It told me. Fabulous, right?
So now you could tell it the specific applicant tracking system to act like and then evaluate your resume for a particular position vis-a-vis this applicant tracking system.
