When recruiters use sizzle to sell the job they are trying to fill, they are signaling something to you.
What Recruiters Know That You Don’t: They’re Stalling for Their Client
One thing recruiters know that most job hunters don’t, is that the more superlatives that they use to describe their client, the more fluff they use to describe the job, the less they really know. And when you look at their profile, often you’ll see less experienced search professionals with the result being, you can’t really believe what they’re saying. You have to really ignore it.
Just listen to the basics about the job, confirm it with their client, because they don’t really know what they’re talking about. Now, there are exceptions here, but most of the time, the more that they’re throwing sizzle at you, the less they really know.
