Fendi collaborated with designer Marc Newson to stage its Spring/Summer 2026 runway within a pixelated installation that resembled a patchwork of digital swatches. The colorful backdrop amplified the collection’s bold palette, transforming the runway into a dynamic environment that merged set design with fashion presentation. By framing the garments within shifting fields of color, the installation underscored the connection between structure, mood, and movement.
The collection itself combined sporty influences with delicate fabrics, balancing transparency, floral motifs, and sharp tailoring. Pleated skirts were reimagined with toggle fastenings, while sheer sweatsuits incorporated shearling accents for contrast. Accessories carried equal weight, with oversized woven totes presented in primary shades alongside sequined interpretations of the Peekaboo bag. The collaboration demonstrated how the atmosphere of a runway can act as an extension of the clothes, creating a fully immersive experience that connects audience perception with design intent.
