Should you get the Kindle or Kindle Colorsoft?
It depends on the experience you want
If you’re undecided about whether to choose the basic Kindle or the Kindle Colorsoft, let me help you out.
First and foremost, if this is your first Kindle, and you’re mainly interested in reading regular books, the basic Kindle model, currently on sale for $90, is a great place to start. It offers 16GB of storage, enough for thousands of books, and features a 6-inch glare-free E Ink display, making it very portable and perfect for reading. This is the Kindle I bought earlier this year, and I’ve been very pleased with it for reading novels and autobiographies.
The main difference between the basic Kindle and the Kindle Colorsoft is that the Kindle has a black-and-white display, while the Colorsoft features a color display. If you want to read comics, graphic novels, travel books, or magazines in full color, the Colorsoft is the better choice, whereas the basic Kindle only shows black-and-white content.
If you want a more premium experience with a larger color display, the Kindle Colorsoft is the way to go. But if you’re just looking for a simple device to read novels without needing color, the basic Kindle is a good option.
