NIPPON KINZOKU has announced the release of its ‘STA’ (Special Tension Annealing) finish stainless steel, the latest in its Eco-Product series designed to deliver both precision and sustainability. Building on the company’s highly regarded TA finish, the STA finish minimizes residual stress and significantly reduces warping during etching processes, particularly half-etching.

By refining grain size, the STA finish achieves smoother etched surfaces, making it ideal for high-precision microfabrication in applications such as smartphone components, semiconductor devices, and metal masks. Beyond performance, the product simplifies processing, improves yields, and enhances energy efficiency, all while reducing environmental impact.

Certified as an Eco-Product, this launch aligns with the company’s ‘NIPPON KINZOKU 2030’ management plan and long-term goal of achieving net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050. The innovation positions the company as a leader in sustainable materials for next-generation technologies, including 5G communications and advanced electronics.
