The T House extension enhances flow in a reimagined London home by introducing a minimalist rear volume that emphasizes openness, balance, and circulation. Executed by DFDC, the project integrates a 1.4-meter-deep concrete structure that sits like a sculptural frame at the back of a semi-detached property. Instead of seeking size alone, the design focuses on spatial clarity, forming a cantilevered box supported at a single point. Within, the kitchen, dining area, and snug are anchored by a central concrete support that unites the plan.

Large glazed surfaces ensure daylight spreads throughout the ground floor, dissolving boundaries between interior and garden. The retained patio maintains an outdoor presence, while the concrete frame visually distinguishes the addition from the original home. This carefully measured extension shows how even modest interventions can reshape daily life, offering continuity, comfort, and a renewed architectural identity that elevates a familiar domestic setting.
