Low-Cost Pro-Grade GPUs : Radeon Pro W7400

The Radeon Pro W7400 is AMD’s latest entry-level professional graphics card in the RDNA 3 family, targeting cost- and power-sensitive workstation designs. It is built on the Navi 33 GPU, the same silicon used in the higher-tier W7500, and incorporates 28 compute units (1 792 stream processors), 56 AI accelerators, and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit interface. This positioning places the W7400 below the W7500 in AMD’s professional GPU stack, specifically aimed at OEM system integrators seeking certified professional graphics solutions for business and enterprise applications.

To maintain a total board power (TBP) of just 55 W, the W7400’s boost clock is capped at 1 100 MHz—down from the W7500’s 1 700 MHz—and its memory operates at 10.8 Gbps. These settings deliver a peak FP32 compute performance of 7.9 TFLOPS, balancing performance with strict thermal and power constraints. While AMD has not announced official pricing, the W7400 is anticipated to be the most affordable gateway into RDNA 3-powered Radeon Pro graphics, offering certified driver support for CAD workflows and the ability to drive multiple high-resolution displays within a tight power envelope.
