Emergency Audio Speaker Hubs : Crankspeaker

The Crankspeaker is a multipurpose gadget from Japan designed for resilience and versatility. It combines a Bluetooth speaker, area light, LED flashlight, FM radio, clock, and power bank, all compacted into a single waterproof and IP44-rated cylindrical device. Its standout feature is a hand crank housed at the base, allowing it to operate even when electrical power is unavailable.

Powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that charges via USB-C or manual crank, it measures just 7.7 × 2.8 × 3.1 inches and weighs around 450 g. A 45 mm driver delivers clear audio, while its dual-end lights offer up to 95 lumens for the flashlight and 20 lumens for ambient illumination. A built-in display shows time, alarm, battery level, and radio frequency. The Crankspeaker offers up to 44 hours of audio, nearly 50 hours of flashlight, or more than a day of ambient light—and a minute of cranking can yield enough emergency power for calls, music, or illumination.
