The show’s creators, despite the delay, have been scattering updates here and there for this reprise, teasing spectacular arcs lying ahead, including classic stops like Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, and Drum Island. Yet, no particular date of return has been labelled. 

This unfortunate spectacle of delay plays like an anime filler arc—frustrating yet filled with anticipation. Netflix had initially hinted at a possible 2025 return, igniting hope in fans’ hearts, which now seems to be 2026. It seems even the mighty streaming titan must navigate production currents and post-production tempests before the Straw Hats can hoist their sails again. Even legendary creator Eiichiro Oda promised the next season will be grander, heightening the stakes and setting the stage for adventures worthy of the One Piece name.
