Rumors and expert predictions from the fandom indicate the upcoming season’s heavy reliance on the central quartet: Eleven, Will, Steve, and Nancy, with each of them having the most screen time in the teaser. However, the Duffer Brothers seem ready to go all in on Steve and Nancy’s arc, this time around, with dangerously high stakes. Given his history, Steve, who has become one of Hawkins’ most loved survivors, is likely to sacrifice himself to save the lot, especially after having reconnected with Nancy in the last season.

Meanwhile, fans also have a gut feeling, the sword looms around Nancy’s neck as she is still clearly confused about her feelings for both Jonathan and Steve, and was seen clearing blood off her hands in the tense teaser. Rumor has it, either one of them has to meet a horrifying end for the sake of emotionally aggravating storytelling.
