Sansa Interiors has transformed a former sushi restaurant in Toronto’s Liberty Village into Paris Steak, a French-inspired steak sandwicherie that merges cinematic atmosphere with functional design. Spanning 2,700 square feet, the space reinterprets Parisian bistro charm through a contemporary lens with a moody palette of charcoal, burgundy, and brass accents, complemented by slatted red tiles and custom banquettes.
Sansa Interiors’ approach to design for the French-inspired steak sandwicherie balances aesthetic allure with operational efficiency. The firm addresses the challenges of the narrow, split-level layout through intuitive zoning that optimizes guest flow and service logistics. Ambient lighting, acoustically sensitive materials, and curved seating arrangements also serve to enhance the intimate dining experience while mitigating spatial constraints like low ceilings and reflective surfaces.
