Pinwheel, known for creating smartphones for children and teens, introduced its first children’s smartwatch, the Pinwheel Watch, for parents who want to stay connected to their kids without giving them a phone. Developed specifically for kids ages seven to 14, the Pinwheel Watch is rich in features thanks to a proprietary parent portal, GPS tracking, texting and calling (with parent-approved contacts), a camera, and a voice-activated AI chat app, PinwheelGPT, that comes pre-loaded on every device.
“Until now, most of the smartwatches for kids were geared toward elementary school-age children, with limited functionality and an emphasis on location-tracking,” said Pinwheel CEO and Founder Dane Witbeck, “The Pinwheel Watch is designed with more features and flexibility to grow with your child into middle school.” With this smartwatch, kids are empowered with the freedom and technology they desire, always with safeguards and parental supervision in the background.
