Antonia Gentry is down to change her hair.
The Ginny & Georgia star, 27, opened up about her hair evolution via TikTok on Sunday, June 22, to ask her followers their opinion on whether she should get braids or not.
“Should I get braids? Should I get boho knotless braids?” she asked in the video. “I haven’t had braids since I was, like, 12 years old. I’m a little nervous. I don’t know if it’s a good idea.”
Gentry went on to explain that despite the volume of her natural curls, she actually has thin tresses, joking they’re really like “two strands of hair.”
“Will I go bald?” she asked about the plaits. “If I go bald, I’ll just wear wigs.”
Her fans encouraged her to try the hairstyle in the comments section, gushing that she would “rock” the look.
One follower joked, “If [you] survived whatever the hell they did to your hair during s1 I think you’ll be fine,” to which Gentry replied, “I — 💀.”
Earlier this month, Gentry got candid about the discussion surrounding her hair while filming Ginny & Georgia throughout the years.
“My hair is naturally curly. I understand that Ginny’s hair from seasons 1, 2 and 3 is very different so let me just explain,” she said.

“Season 1, that is my natural hair. It was a little bit of a challenge for some [stylists] to work with my hair,” she continued. “We had a little bit of heat damage in there, it randomly got bleached and four inches got cut off.”
Going into season 2, Gentry wanted to protect her locks more and asked for a wig, but the hairpiece didn’t end up “matching” her actual strands.
“We stopped using the wig and took a wand to my hair to match the curl pattern to the wig,” she explained. “My hair was put through heat every single day.”
After suffering from more heat damage, the hairstylists learned how to style her curls with no heat for season 3 of the show. “I had someone who did such an amazing job, we didn’t use any heat, we took care of it,” she recalled, gushing that she felt stress-free in the glam trailer.
“My favorite hair moment for Ginny is season 3 because that’s the healthiest my hair has ever been while filming the show,” the actress said.
