At the 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen, Timorous Beasties presented the What Are You Looking At? exhibition, which delivered an immersive experience that spotlighted the Scottish design studio’s signature blend of whimsy and subversion through pattern design.

Occupying a historic canalside building in Copenhagen’s Christianshavn district, the exhibition transformed the space through reflective surfaces and digitally printed compositions that merge archival designs with new creations. The studio invited viewers into the brand’s distinctive visual universe. A collaborative effort with Edinburgh’s Local Heroes and support from Creative Scotland, the pop-up included interactive elements like screen-printing demonstrations.

The What Are You Looking At? installation aligned with the festival’s KEEP IT R3AL theme by emphasizing Timorous Beasties’ uncompromising artistic vision, which was developed over the studio’s 35-year history of challenging conventional surface design.
