Recyclable sheet mask packaging is at the center of Kolmar Korea’s latest sustainability effort, developed in partnership with Korean pulp and paper company Murim. The new pouch uses “over 45% less plastic than traditional plastic or aluminum-based sheet mask packaging, which has often been criticized for its environmental impact.”
Made with Murim’s eco-friendly material, ‘Neoforet FLEX,’ the pouch is designed to remain strong and durable even in cold or humid conditions; this ensures the product stays protected while using less harmful materials.
Kolmar Korea’s innovation reflects a growing industry shift toward sustainable beauty solutions. In addition to sheet masks, the company plans to expand this eco-conscious packaging to other products, such as refillable cushion compacts and spout pouches. By replacing single-use plastic packaging with recyclable alternatives, Kolmar Korea is helping reduce waste and offering consumers more environmentally responsible skincare options.
