Gonzalo Rufin Arquitectos designs the Casa RWO, which is nestled comfortably into its surroundings just from the crest of a rugged ridge in Pupuya, Chile. The narrative behind the design comes from how placement and structure can form a dialogue between the landscape and architecture.
Just on the highest point of the site is where the house is found, functioning as a lookout and a place of shelter. The home overlooks panoramic views of the Le Vega de Puputa valley. Each room in the home is also accessed from a walkway, which is a design purposefully integrated in order to create a sense of autonomy and privacy as a whole within the compact floor plan.
