Rome Airports has significantly improved accessibility for visually impaired travelers through its collaboration with Be My Eyes, a digital platform that connects blind and low-vision users with sighted volunteers and customer service representatives via live video calls.

The partnership integrates Be My Eyes’ Service Connect feature into the airports’ existing accessibility infrastructure. This will offer real-time navigation assistance, flight updates, and personalized support within Rome Airports through a combination of AI technology and human agents.

The Be My Eyes app is available in multiple languages and is free to download. The service will give travelers peace of mind as it assists them in navigating terminals, locating amenities, and addressing last-minute travel concerns. The initiative aligns with Rome Airports’ broader strategy to prioritize inclusive design and customer experience.
