I have recently discovered Marcellino Shoemaker and have been very impressed with what I have seen. Discovering small brands like this is part of the ‘love’ in my ‘Love/Hate’ relationship with the social media platform, Instagram. Marcellino Shoemaker seems to be exclusively on Instagram, as many modern-day brands are, with no indication of an actual website or any information for me to really discover, other than beautiful footwear.

One thing I love about Marcellino Shoemaker is that they seem to appreciate blending two styles that I really love: The dropped balmoral line and fringe/kilty details. The dropped balmoral line is the line that wraps around the entire shoe and bends in the vamp area. It is designed slightly lower than your average balmoral line that sits underneath an oxford shoe’s lace area. They blend it together and make it a two-tone, creating one cool pair of bespoke shoes, as you can see in the highlighted post image.

Marcellino Shoemaker only started posting around a year ago, meaning they are quite new in their business. I am not sure where they trained or their background, but I know that they are based in Rome. I believe they are a man and woman duo, and unless I am mistaken, they might be a couple. That would be pretty cool, although I am sure it can get quite spicy! Anyone who is married will know what I mean ;-). I could be wrong on the marriage status. Time will tell.

If you are ever in Rome and looking to find a good shoemaker, make sure to stop by Marcellino Shoemaker shop. You can reach out to them on Instagram and find their location. They are very friendly people and clearly make some very cool shoes!
