Michelle Williams FINALLY connected with the woman she’s been mistaken for for years. It’s none other than Michelle Williams… the actress. The two have been getting their fan mail all kinds of twisted for a while, with folks sending love to the ‘Say Yes’ vocalist thinking she’s the one who starred in ‘The Greatest Showman,’ chile. But our girl is clearing up the confusion with a whole lotta laughs in a recent meet-up video with the award-winning movie star.

Will The Real Michelle Williams Please Stand Up?

On Friday (April 18), the ‘Through With Love’ songstress hopped on her Insta after slaying the stage in her Broadway show ‘Death Becomes Her.’ Fresh off the performance, she posted a hilarious video, still on cloud nine from the crowd’s love. While mentioning signing autographs, however, she pulled out some pics of actress Michelle Williams, seemingly poking fun at the fact that fans keep sending her the wrong Michelle’s headshots during her Broadway run. Someone off-camera interrupts, and that’s when Michelle flips the phone around, and it’s none other than the actress standing there, ready to sign the autograph.

“Who should I make it out to?” actress Michelle asks, pen in hand.

“Would you make it out to me?” our girl replies.

Michelle Recently Received Some Questionable Fan Mail

This ain’t the first time Michelle’s been out here sorting through someone else’s fan mail. Back in March, sis took to IG to share a letter she got all the way from Germany. She was hyped to read it, thinking it was for her, but when she got into it? She realized the “fan” wasn’t even talking about her. The letter, from a man named Philip, was gushing about “incredible performances in film and theater.” Now, the singer, Michelle, did appear in the 2021 TV movie ‘Christmas in Harmony,’ so these words could have still applied to her.

However, Michelle kept reading, and that’s when things became a lil’ clearer.

“‘Your work in movies like Blue Valentine, Manchester by the Sea, or The Greatest Showman has deeply moved me and many others, showcasing your exceptional talent,’” she said while giggling.

Philip even asked her to sign some photos for him and his daughter, saying they “admire your artistry.” But when Michelle held up the pics? It was Michelle Williams from the movies, chile. “Her hair is fabulous,” the Illinois native said.

Back in 2019, Michelle took aim at people who were tagging her on Instagram, congratulating her on an Emmy win. Per USA TODAY, in a state of confusion, Michelle, the singer, clarified that she’d not won any award and that she’d once again been mistaken for the wrong person. “How come when y’all are tagging and congratulating a person, do y’all see that I’m black?” she wrote.

Kelly And Beyoncé Supported Her On Broadway

While the iconic trio didn’t do anything special for the 20th anniversary of their final album, ‘Destiny Fulfilled,’ in November 2024, they made up for it by reuniting to support their ex-band member on her Broadway opening night. And Roomies, y’all know when DC3 gets together, it’s always a whole vibe, which was apparent by the pics shared to Instagram. On Thursday, (Nov. 21), Bey and Kelly pulled up to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York to shower Michelle with love as she did her big one playing Viola Van Horn. And who else was in the building? None other than Tina Knowles, because Mama Tina doesn’t miss a family event, okay!
