Love Is Blind’s Aneha Addresses Racist Claims After Cam Split

Love Is Blind season 11 contestant Aneha Singh is shutting down misconceptions that she left Cam Halloran at the altar due to race.

“There’s criticism of that clip where I ask, ‘Will my parents accept him because he’s white and not Hindu?’ None of that mattered, really,” Aneha, 28, told Vulture in an interview published Wednesday, November 4, noting she felt “very misunderstood” by conversations taking place online. “I know that’s hard to believe when I say that. There were two moments where me and Cam talked about that, and those two moments were clipped.”

Aneha and Cam, 29, got engaged sight unseen in the Love Is Blind pods. The Boston season was filmed in 2025 and began airing on Netflix last month. As the pair’s relationship continued on camera, Aneha revealed that her traditional parents did not approve of the dating experiment.

“I’ve dated people of all different backgrounds. My insecurities came out because I’d never introduced a boy to my parents,” she told Vulture. “People calling me racist is crazy, and I’m sure Cam would agree with that, but I can understand from the clips why it could sound like that.”

Love Is Blind season 11 delivered its usual mix of altar shockers, cold-feet confessionals and post-pod reality checks. Aneha continued, “Unfortunately, given the state of the world right now, it’s given people an opening to be outright racist toward me. I’ve had comments from people saying, ‘Go back to your country. Go on Love Is Blind India. Go find an auntie to set you up. You don’t belong here. You smell like curry.’ While telling me I’m racist. Make that make sense.”

Despite her parents’ disapproval, Aneha proclaimed throughout the experiment that Cam was her “person.” In the end, however, Aneha chose not to marry her fiancé on their wedding day.

“Cam at 28, just not husband material,” Aneha said in a confessional during the season finale, citing Cam’s communication struggles as a primary factor in her decision. “He needs more time. He’s not fully cooked yet, right? Cam has the makings of a great husband. I’ve never loved someone like I’ve loved Cam; now that he’s in my life, I can’t imagine my life without him.”

While Aneha wanted to remain engaged, Cam wasn’t as sure about their future.

“I don’t want to step away,” he acknowledged after being left at the altar. “I love you and care about you, like, why couldn’t we say yes, you know? I think I just need a second to process the experience.”

While Cam told Aneha he merely needed “some time” to process the aftermath of the experiment, he later admitted in a confessional that he couldn’t see a reconciliation at that point.

Fans will have to wait until the season 11 reunion to find out whether Cam and Aneha went their separate ways for good.

Love Is Blind is now streaming on Netflix. The season 11 reunion premieres Sunday, November 8, at 9 p.m. ET.
