Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are all set to prove that some partnerships only get sharper with time, with a new collaboration taking them right back into the underworld for a London-based revenge thriller. When one of action cinema’s most iconic actor-director pairings joins forces once more, moviegoers can always expect absolute grit. Nearly thirty years after launching Jason Statham’s career with a modest London caper, creative mastermind Guy Ritchie is gearing up for their seventh feature together.

With cameras set to roll across the U.K. on a stylish new revenge thriller, the dynamic duo is diving right back into the criminal underworld that made them legends.

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie coming together once more

The legendary creative alliance between action icon Jason Statham and filmmaker Guy Ritchie is officially rolling toward its seventh cinematic outing. Netflix has greenlit a new thriller, titled Dogfight, an upcoming stylish revenge thriller that dives deep into the gritty London underworld. While specific plot points are currently under wraps, the project is guaranteed to feature the trademark grit, firepower, and hardened stares synonymous with the duo. Cameras are scheduled to start rolling across the U.K. in early 2027.

Ritchie will once again steer the ship behind the camera – writing, directing, and producing – while Statham leads on screen. The production backing is a family affair, uniting Black Bear Pictures (the powerhouse behind recent Ritchie ventures like In the Grey and Wife & Dog) alongside Ritchie’s Toff Guy Films and Statham’s own Punch Palace Productions. Producers steering the feature include Ritchie, Statham, Toff Guy partner Ivan Atkinson, and Black Bear’s John Friedberg.

This upcoming project announced by Netflix marks the latest chapter in a storied professional bond that stretches all the way back to 1998, when Ritchie cast an unknown Statham in his feature directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Over nearly three decades, their hit-heavy collaboration has expanded through blockbusters and cult favorites including Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, and Operation Fortune: Rose de Guerre.

Before teaming up for Dogfight, Statham and Ritchie already staked a claim on another high-profile literary adaptation: Viva La Madness.

The dynamic duo’s reunion already locked in another venture

First reported by Variety, the action-thriller, Viva La Madness, serves as a cinematic continuation of J.J. Connolly’s acclaimed underworld novel – itself the official follow-up to Layer Cake, which Matthew Vaughn previously turned into a cult classic in 2004. Having wrapped production earlier this year, the project boasts domestic backing from Black Bear alongside international distribution handled by Amazon MGM Studios.

Beyond the powerhouse pairing of Jason Statham, a titan of the action genre and Guy Ritchie, the veteran of action-comedies – the film features an impressive ensemble cast blending screen veterans and fresh faces. Statham shares the screen with Vinnie Jones (reuniting with his Snatch and Lock, Stock collaborators), Jason Isaacs (White Lotus), Babs Olusanmokun (Dune), Camila Mendes (Riverdale), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), Jonny Lee Miller (The Crown), and music star Raúl Alejandro, who makes his feature film acting debut.
