Titans star Jordan Elliott was cut after ‘storming out of locker room to grab his GUN following heated clash with teammate’

Jordan Elliott was cut by the Tennessee Titans after storming out of the team facility to retrieve a gun from his car, according to multiple harrowing new reports.

News of the defensive tackle’s exit from the team was announced on Tuesday, but the Titans’ statement only included reference to an ‘incident,’ with the mysterious details withheld.

More information has now come to light, though, with A to Z Sports and beat reporter Aaron Wilson of KPRC both reporting that Elliott became involved in a heated argument with a teammate that threatened to get out of hand.

Wilson’s report claims the teammate was JC Latham, and that the circumstances that unfolded were captured by security cameras inside the Titans facility.

According to A to Z Sports’ sources, seven-year NFL pro Elliott had become frustrated with a Titans teammate on the practice field and the situation devolved into a fight.

That anger then carried over to the locker room after practice. According to the outlet, Elliott was seen storming out before heading ‘to the players’ parking garage next to the facility, to retrieve a firearm from his vehicle.’

It is then reported that the situation was ‘de-escalated before there was any altercation involving the firearm.’

Wilson reports that veteran defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers played peacemaker and talked Elliott down before the situation became more serious.

‘This was so crazy,’ an NFL source is quoted as saying. ‘Jordan has been having a lot of problems away from the building and obviously he brought it to work with him.

‘There was no reason for him to go off like that. Everyone thought that was wild. To overreact like that is absolutely crazy. We’re just glad that no one got hurt and it’s over.’

A to Z Sports says the Metro Nashville Police Department told them no reports had been filed and they were not contacted by the team in connection with the incident.

The Daily Mail has contacted the Tennessee Titans and Elliott’s agent for comment on this matter.

On Tuesday, the Titans had only revealed: ‘On Thursday, October 15th, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott.

‘Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter.’

Elliott appeared in the Titans’ first five games of this season, making one start and logging 11 tackles.

He was inactive for last weekend’s game in the wake of the incident at the team facility.

The former Cleveland Browns third-round draft pick signed a two-year, $8 million deal with Tennessee in March.

He previously spent four years in Cleveland before signing with the San Francisco 49ers in free agency and spending the last two seasons in the Bay Area.

It has been a disastrous start to the season for Tennessee, which lost its first five games of the season before finally sealing a win on Sunday against the also-struggling Indianapolis Colts.

This week, the Titans are back in Nashville and hosting the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
