Disney+ has scored big with the broadcast rights for Super Bowl LXI set for Valentine’s Day 2027. As sports leagues increasingly prioritize ubiquitous digital accessibility to capture younger, cord-cutting audiences, the distribution playbook for marquee matchups has undergone a massive structural shift. That evolution has now reached its ultimate milestone, reshaping how millions will tune into the nation’s most-watched annual live sports spectacle.
This has effectively culminated in the official confirmation that Super Bowl LXI will stream live on Disney+ on February 14, 2027.
Super Bowl LXI to stream live on Disney+ in 2027
Disney is significantly expanding its multi-platform footprint for its upcoming sports milestone, officially integrating Disney+ into ESPN’s multi-billion-dollar Super Bowl strategy. In a joint announcement with the NFL, the company confirmed that Disney+ will livestream Super Bowl LXI in the U.S. and in dozens of international territories on Sunday, February 14, 2027.
This strategic rollout aims to maximize audience reach and ad value for ESPN’s inaugural broadcast of the championship game. All domestic Disney+ subscribers will have access to the standard linear broadcast feed, which is simultaneously slated for ESPN and ABC. The coverage features the veteran commentary team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, alongside sideline reporters Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge, with an alternative Spanish-language feed provided via ESPN Deportes.

Internationally, Disney+ will carry ESPN’s Super Bowl feed across more than 55 global markets – spanning Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand – while ESPN’s traditional linear channels will syndicate the game to over 130 countries and territories. Meanwhile, independent sports platform DAZN retains broader international streaming rights for the 2026-27 NFL season across more than 200 countries outside the U.S. and China via its NFL Game Pass subscription tier.
To capture football fans all over, the streamer has gone one step further to keep them engaged till the Super Bowl starts.

Ahead of the championship matchup, Disney+ subscribers will also gain access to a pair of regular-season Monday Night Football broadcasts. The rollout kicks off with a high-stakes NFC East divisional clash featuring the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, October 26 (Week 7), with a second marquee matchup slated for a later announcement. While these games will maintain their standard television footprint on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes, fans will have the added flexibility to stream both English and Spanish commentary directly through Disney+.

Back in August, the streaming giant locked in a one-year exclusive sponsorship agreement with Gary Neville’s digital sports media brand, The Overlap. Under the partnership, Disney+ will serve as the headline sponsor for both the flagship hit Stick to Football and the freshly launched companion series Stick to United, hosted by Wayne Rooney. The high-profile collaboration spans the entirety of the 2026 and 2027 football calendar across the UK and Ireland.
