Protected Beachfront Concepts : sun reserve

In celebration of its 100th birthday in 2025, Corona created the world’s first Sun Reserve in Brazil to preserve access to sunshine on public beaches. As coastal populations climb, towering structures are encroaching on the waterfront and casting large shadows on the sand. On Brazil’s Piedade Beach in Pernambuco, Corona is now leasing the land facing the beach to cap the building height and prevent the potential obstruction of sunlight.

Corona encourages life outside and its brand is deeply associated with the sun, evoking images of golden sunsets, beachside relaxation, and the carefree vibe of summer with every bottle.

Over time, Corona aims to bring more Sun Reserves to additional markets around the world, including South Africa and more.
