Glastonbury tickets sold out within just 42 minutes of going on sale as hundreds of thousands of Britons rushed to get a spot.
Tickets for next year’s festival went online at 9am on Sunday – but fans received messages as early as 9.42am that they were sold out, leaving many devastated.
It comes after organisers brought in a new queuing system that was hoped to make the process fairer as each registered attendee would only get one place in the line.
Fans had to complete a CAPTCHA test and then enter a unique registration number before they entered the queue.
This meant people couldn’t join the line on multiple devices or tabs open in an attempt to beat others to festival tickets.
According to vendor See Tickets: ‘Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2027 are now SOLD OUT.
‘Confirmation emails are going out now. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets this morning and sorry to those who missed out.’
But Glastonbury hopefuls were left fuming with the new process as thousands missed out bagging tickets for next year’s festival from June 23-27.
