Whenever I think of a classic Western movie, one image immediately pops into my head: Clint Eastwood as the Man with No Name.
Clint Eastwood starred in plenty of Western movies over the course of his legendary career, but arguably his most iconic role was as the Man with No Name in Sergio Leone’s renowned Dollars Trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966).
The films are widely regarded as some of the greatest Westerns ever made, and it’s easy to see why. Even 60 years later, they remain hugely popular for their breathtaking performances, beautiful cinematography, incredible scores by Ennio Morricone, and layered stories that helped reinvent the Western genre.
Thankfully, physical media fans have had access to all three films on 4K UHD for quite some time. But if you’ve always wanted to own the entire trilogy as a set, the perfect opportunity is just around the corner, as a brand-new 4K UHD collection is arriving in November.

Kino Lorber recently announced that it’s releasing a new 4K UHD box set called the Sergio Leone Masterworks.
The name of the set is extremely fitting, as it includes not only the entire Dollars Trilogy directed by Sergio Leone — A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) — but also Once Upon a Time in the West in 4K UHD.
Beyond those four films, the Sergio Leone Masterworks 4K UHD collection also includes a Blu-ray bonus feature disc packed with featurettes, making-of documentaries, interviews, deleted scenes, outtakes, and image galleries from all four films.
The box set is currently set to release on November 24, but it costs a pretty penny at $150. However, you can pre-order it on Amazon right now for $107, nearly 30 percent off.

Once Upon a Time in the West is a masterpiece
Sergio Leone didn’t miss
I’m a big fan of the Dollars Trilogy, so anytime it gets a new release like this, I’m all for it. But what especially intrigues me about this 4K UHD release is that it also includes Once Upon a Time in the West.
That was Sergio Leone’s first Western after finishing the Dollars Trilogy, and it differs quite a bit from those films. It takes place later in the development of the American West, as the frontier rapidly changes, railroads are built, towns expand, and the old Wild West gradually gives way to a more settled and civilized society.
If you’ve never seen it, the film follows a mysterious gunslinger known as Harmonica (Charles Bronson), who arrives in the American West and becomes embroiled in a struggle over valuable land, putting him at odds with the ruthless outlaw Frank (Henry Fonda).
Personally, I’ll never forget seeing the iconic, suspenseful opening of Once Upon a Time in the West for the first time in a college film class. It’s one of the main reasons I started getting into Westerns after growing up watching mostly science fiction and adventure movies like Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
The Sergio Leone Masterworks 4K UHD collection comes out November 24, so if you’ve never seen any of these movies before, or it’s time for a long-overdue rewatch, this is a great opportunity to own all four on disc. With physical media making a resurgence lately, I’m happy to see classic Westerns like these getting the attention they deserve.
You can also stream all these movies, but if you have the option, I’d wait for the 4K UHD release. Trust me, watching these legendary Westerns in high-bitrate 4K with HDR and high-quality audio is a real treat.
