A woman has been found dead inside a bin outside an apartment block.

Garbagemen discovered the remains on Lambert Street at Kangaroo Point, in Brisbane, around 11.50am on Friday.

Emergency services were called and declared the person deceased.

An investigation has been launched with the area cordoned off.

Queensland Police has yet to confirm whether the death is suspicious.
