One of Harrison Ford’s greatest action movies is now free to stream ‣ Diverse Daily

When you think of Harrison Ford, some of his most iconic movie roles might immediately spring to mind, such as Han Solo in Star Wars or his time with the fedora and whip as Indiana Jones. But Ford has also played plenty of other memorable roles, including Rick Deckard in Blade Runner, Richard Kimble in The Fugitive, and, most recently, Dr. Paul Rhoades in the Apple TV+ series Shrinking.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m one of the biggest Star Wars and Indiana Jones fans there is, but one of my favorite Harrison Ford roles that I don’t think gets the attention it deserves is his portrayal of the U.S. president in Air Force One, which is arguably one of the best action flicks of the 1990s.

Directed by Wolfgang Petersen and released in 1997, Air Force One follows President James Marshall (Harrison Ford), who is aboard Air Force One when Russian terrorists led by Egor Korshunov (Gary Oldman) hijack the plane and demand the release of the prisoner General Ivan Radek, the dictator of a rogue regime in Kazakhstan. Refusing to give in to the terrorists’ demands, Marshall secretly fights back against the hijackers while trying to protect his family, his staff, and the passengers aboard Air Force One.

If you’ve never seen Air Force One before, or you just want to watch Harrison Ford kick some butt again, now’s the perfect time, since the movie has just landed on this free streaming service.
