A baseball fan stormed onto the field at Yankee Stadium waving a Palestinian flag during the opening game of the Subway Series.
The New York Yankees hosted their crosstown rivals, the Mets, on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the city.
However, the game descended into controversial scenes when a fan invaded the field in the Bronx at exactly 9:11pm, according to The Athletic.
The man, who wore a baseball jersey with ‘No Kings’ written on the front, sprinted onto the field waving the flag, sparking anger from the fans in attendance.
He was eventually halted and brought down by a group of four security guards who pounced on him in the outfield.
Fans inside Yankee Stadium erupted into chants of ‘USA,’ while other more irate spectators yelled ‘f*** you’ at the man.

Jorge Posada, Paul O’Neill, Tino Martinez, Scott Brosius, Mariano Rivera and Jeter along with manager Joe Torre walked onto the field in their former pinstripe jerseys.
The pennant-winning players joined the servicemen and women, including honor guards from the NYPD, FDNY, and PAPD, who carried out the presentation of colors as a giant American flag was unfurled in the outfield.
Earlier in the afternoon, Jeter was joined by current Yankees captain Aaron Judge and pitcher Gerrit Cole as the trio laid a commemorative wreath beside the 9/11 monument in Monument Park at the ballpark.
