Lukas Gage considers Madelyn Cline a true companion.

Though the Euphoria alum and the Outer Banks star jokingly shut down dating rumors earlier this year, Gage praised their deep bond he likened to having a life partner. In fact, the 31-year-old declared that he and Cline were his favorite duo of 2026. 

“Me and Madelyn Cline,” he exclusively shared on Live From E! Stream: Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2027 Runway Show at New York Fashion Week Sept. 10. “She’s just like my lavender wife.” 

“People think it’s a joke,” the Overcompensating actor continued of their palpable platonic chemistry, “but there’s real love there.”

Indeed, Gage and Cline have been outspoken about their friendship, which started on the set of their 2021 movie What Breaks the Ice. Months before the pair denied a gossip blog’s February post suggesting that they had gone from “friends to flames,” the Glass Onion actress told Interview Magazine in 2025 that he was her “Gemini sister.”
