Natasha Bure Perry is shutting down claims that she welcomed her baby and is holding back the news.

In her recent TikTok video, shared on Sunday, Sept. 6, the expectant mom responded to a comment on one of her previous videos that claimed she gave birth already, but wasn’t sharing the news to increase her social media engagement to generate more money. Bure Perry, who’s currently expecting her first baby with husband Bradley Steven Perry, denied the rumors, saying that her decision to sometimes not share things in real time is “not about money.”

“It’s September 6th. I’m filming this in real time. My video from yesterday was filmed in real time. I’m still pregnant. I still have a baby here, okay?” she said, holding up her shirt to reveal her baby bump for a few seconds.

“I will speak for myself when I say this, but I know I can speak on behalf of a lot of other people. The internet can be a really fun, beautiful place. I love my community that I have on here. [But,] It can also be such a creepy, parasocial space where people feel entitled to information about your life,” Bure Perry continued. “That being said, not sharing content in real-time has never come from a monetization aspect.”

The soon-to-be mom went on to explain some of the reasons why she chooses to share some things later than others.

“It’s not about money. It’s not about strategy,” she said. “It’s simply about having boundaries online, protecting my family, and ultimately, the biggest reason is allowing myself to soak up the moments that are happening for me in my real life before I share them with the internet. That’s it.”

“I am not sitting at home thinking about how it’s going to financially benefit me to post a certain video at a certain time. I’m just not,” the mom-to-be continued. “If I feel comfortable to share it in the moment, great, I will, but if I want to savor a moment that’s happening for me, are happening with my family, I don’t owe you anything. Nobody owes you anything.”

Bure Berry concluded her video explaining that she feels that a person “can’t even win” regardless of what they do on social media.

“I feel like with this conversation, you honestly can’t even win because half the time I’ll get comments telling me that I never have private moments for myself [and that] I share too much online,” she shared. “And then, you have the other end where when I’m not sharing in real time, and I am keeping those moments private for myself. It’s for the sake of engagement or money.”

“All that to say, I love posting videos online. I love connecting with you guys, but I’m always going to do it when it makes me feel comfortable. Sometimes that’s the same day, sometimes that’s a month later,” Bure Perry added. “I don’t know what I’m going to feel and when I’m going to feel that way. But, at the end of the day, if I want my content to be genuine and authentic, it has to come from a place where I’m actually excited to share about it.”

The couple first announced their pregnancy news in a joint post on their Instagrams on Thursday, May 7, posting a series of pictures together. In one photo, the two wore matching blue and white striped button-down shirts, sipping from mugs that read “Dada!” and Mama!”

Bure Perry’s shirt was unbuttoned, showing off her growing baby bump. “Our dream role 🐣,” they captioned the post.

Three months later, the couple, who’s expecting their first baby together less than one year after tying the knot, gathered with their family and friends to celebrate their baby on the way. Bure Perry gave a glimpse into the festivities with a recap video on her Instagram.

“A summer soirée for Baby P 🌸💛🪺 The baby shower of my dreams!!!!” she captioned the post.

Bure Perry’s mom, Candace Cameron Bure, sweetly commented on the post, “It was a beautiful day to celebrate 🥹🩵.”
