Counting On Star Joy-Anna Duggar Announces Pregnancy


TLC reality star Joy-Anna Duggar is expanding her brood.

“Coming 2027!! So much joy, so much excitement, and so much love for this little one already. God knew we needed you,” Joy-Anna, 28, announced via a Tuesday, September 1, Instagram carousel that showed her posing with her husband, Austin Forsyth.

The Counting On star is already a mom of four, sharing Gideon, born in 2018, Evelyn, born in 2020, and Gunner, born in 2023. She also gave birth to a stillborn daughter, Annabell, in 2019.

The post featured four photos of the couple, who starred in Counting On after Joy-Anna rose to fame through the TLC series 19 Kids and Counting, holding a string of ultrasound photos and embracing one another in a cozy living space.

The happy news attracted support from fans who took to the post’s comments section to congratulate Joy-Anna and Forsyth, 32. “Congratulations, such a blessing he or she will be to your family,” wrote one follower, while another commented, “Baby machines.”

Joy-Anna had publicly shared her grief after losing Annabell when she was just 20 weeks pregnant. Just one week after her loss, she took to Instagram to reflect on her emotional state. The following months saw her reflect on how her emotions evolved before a podcast appearance in July 2025 revealed further insight.

“When I’ve talked to other people, I’ve shared that with them … ‘Hey, it took me six months.’ I felt like I was in a cloud for six months,” she said on an episode of the “Jinger & Jeremy” podcast. “I felt like I was in a fog. You know, it’s postpartum [too], like, your body’s going through kind of a shock.” (Jinger Duggar, 32, is one of Joy-Anna’s eight sisters. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, whom 19 Kids and Counting was centerd on, also share 10 sons.)

She also revealed on the episode that she felt nervous about falling pregnant again after experiencing pregnancy loss. “l’d have this, like, battle in my mind, almost, of, like, ‘I’m so scared. I’m not going to get excited.’ But then I would go to the other side of, like, ‘Well, I don’t need to be controlled by that.’ I need to be, like, God’s given us life, and it’s not in my control, so I’m going to trust him,” she explained at the time. “And then the next day I’d be like, ‘But what if this happens?’ And so it was constant.”

Just days prior to the episode going live, Joy-Anna had taken to Instagram to celebrate what would have been Annabell’s sixth birthday. “Happy heavenly 6th birthday Annabell Elise Forsyth,” she captioned a carousel of images including photos taken of the little one in her parent’s arms.
