Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are reportedly preparing for their own Hollywood debut. The couple, already settled into a lavish existence far from the cameras, appear to be eyeing a very different kind of spotlight altogether. Talk around their circle suggests years of standing on the sidelines at award ceremonies could soon be replaced by something far more active. What exactly they are planning has only just started to take shape.
While their current home sits among some of the wealthiest neighbors in the country, their next move could take them somewhere far more glamorous.
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner eye a producer role in film
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are reportedly stepping into film financing, positioning themselves for entry into Cannes and Venice. The couple, comfortable in ultra-luxury circles from their Indian Creek Island home, seem ready to trade politics for producer credits. Kushner’s firm, Affinity Partners, controls billions in capital, more than enough to bankroll a slate of films.
“She is bored,” a source said, as per the Daily News.
They then added, “She wants to dress up and attend the Cannes and Venice film festivals.”

What remains unmentioned so far is the couple’s quiet search for property in Malibu, reportedly underway for close to two months. Daily News noted that Affinity Partners holds major backing from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, giving the firm reach well beyond typical Hollywood financing circles. The publication also pointed out that a well-placed film investment could open doors to prime seating at the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Their ambitions, it appears, stretch far past simply attending festival premieres.
While Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner plot their festival circuit debut, one name in the family already wrote the original playbook for Hollywood crossover attempts.
Donald Trump already has a long Hollywood resume of his own
Donald Trump built a public persona in Hollywood decades before politics, appearing in films and television as an exaggerated version of himself. His cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York remains the most recognized, showing him giving directions inside the lobby of a hotel he owned at the time. He also appeared in Zoolander, Two Weeks’ Notice, and S** and the City, alongside earlier credits like Ghosts Can’t Do It, which earned him a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor.

Beyond film cameos, Trump found his biggest entertainment success hosting The Apprentice, a show that turned his signature catchphrase into a household phrase and helped cement his image as television royalty. That run also earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, well before his political career began. With that legacy in mind, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner may simply be continuing a family tradition of turning boardrooms into backdrops for the big screen.
