It ultimately made over $21 million at the box office on a $3 million budget.

Also, as heat, exhaustion, and dehydration set in, the protagonists lose their grip—both mentally and physically—raising the tension and suspense even more.

While it is a survival thriller, Fall is also a story about overcoming grief and fear. The movie begins with Becky mourning the tragic death of her husband Dan during a similar climb, which has all but scared her away from the thrills she once enjoyed. This makes her climb in the desert a journey out of her pit of despair and a chance to reclaim her life.
