Nina Sosanya, Paul Whitehouse and Roman Kemp have been added to the voice cast of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, the latest animated feature from the popular series, set to be produced by Sky, Aardman and StudioCanal.
The trio has joined the previously announced Dani Dyer and Justin Fletcher. Nina Sosanya will voice Mossingham’s trusted vet, Paul Whitehouse will play the local shopkeeper, Roman Kemp will appear as a Pizza Boy, and Dani Dyer will voice the town’s social media-savvy influencer in her first-ever animation voice acting role.
The film’s official synopsis reads: “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s treasured pumpkin patch. When Shaun turns MAD SCIENTIST to fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With the Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure.”
Aardman has partnered with Sky as the UK distributor. Studiocanal is releasing the film theatrically in all of its territories except the U.K., and including France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Benelux and Italy. GKIDS is handling the US release.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is the third stop-motion animated feature film in the Shaun the Sheep universe. The film was written by Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories). The directors are Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies), with Richard Beek (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl) as Producer, and Nick Park, Peter Lord, Carla Shelley, and Sarah Cox as Studio Executive Producers
2025 marked 30 years since Shaun’s first appearance in Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom will debut in cinemas on September 18.
