Streaming services just keep on getting bigger and bigger. As companies try to reach more viewers with their own streaming platforms, audiences naturally see them expand their services by offering a wider selection of content. This has been the case with Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+. And now, Discovery+ has followed their lead.
Though Warner Bros. Discovery nearly shut down Discovery+ in 2023, the streaming service continues to grow and add content. According to Cord Cutter News, the platform recently expanded its lineup on its app and website, offering U.S. subscribers new channels and themed playlists based on Discovery+ franchises and NASA+ programming.

Beat Bobby Flay features intense cooking competitions hosted by the titular chef, while Deadliest Catch features full seasons of the hit reality TV series.
With Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, food lovers and cooking fans can follow Guy Fieri as he visits popular eateries and discovers new chefs and dishes. Evil Lives Here features episodes from the hit true-crime franchise that delve into the lives of people whose family members are criminals.
Audiences can explore the paranormal with Zak Bagans and his team in Ghost Adventures. They can also follow miners in Gold Rush as they put their lives on the line in the pursuit of buried riches. Those looking for something less intense can check out House Hunters and follow people, couples, and families as they look for a new home.
All this content is available on Discovery+ for $5.99 per month, and users can watch it without ads for $9.99 per month. Users unsure about paying for a subscription can try Discovery+ with a seven-day free trial. Subscribers can access Discovery+ from its official website or through its mobile or TV apps on iOS or Android devices. You can also stream it from Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast with Google TV, Apple TV, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S.

Thanks to the partnership between Discovery+ and NASA+, Discovery+ subscribers can now stream original programming focused on space, including documentaries and live videos of rocket launches and spacewalks. Also, as the name implies, NASA+ Live Earth Views offers a 24/7 live stream of the Earth from the International Space Station. You can even stream live events on Discovery+ and HBO Max in Dolby Vision on supported devices.

Overall, Discovery+ features more than 2,500 current and classic TV shows from across networks like HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, and, of course, Discovery Channel. Outside the platform’s new channels, there are popular shows like Property Brothers, Sister Wives, Long Island Medium, and MythBusters.
At this point, Discovery+ has far fewer channels than some of its competitors. Google TV Freeplay recently surpassed 300 channels, while Pluto TV now has 400, and viewers can stream both for free. Despite that, Discovery+ currently has a unique assortment of original and non-scripted content to stream, especially now that it has partnered with NASA+. This service seems like an excellent fit for viewers looking to stream reality TV, documentaries, and programs on space travel.
