The End of Oak Street 4K UHD, Blu-ray and streaming release available

New sci-fi film The End of Oak Street released in theaters this weekend, and features a unique premise of a neighborhood traveling back in time to the age of dinosaurs. The film stars Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway and has been getting pretty decent reviews, notching an 84% “certified fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Though the film has some stiff competition from holdovers like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, positive reviews and an intriguing trailer will hopefully carry this film to at least modest box office success despite the crowded weekend at the multiplex.

Right now the only way to watch this movie is in theaters but if you’re patient and would rather check out The End of Oak Street at home, Warner Bros. has already made this film available to pre-order, not just on streaming but on 4K UHD and Blu-ray as well. Here’s what we know so far about The End of Oak Street’s move to the small screen following its theatrical release:

Pre-orders for The End of Oak Street are already available on several major platforms

Currently, the release date is TBD, but late 2026 seems likely

While we don’t have an at-home streaming date yet, The End of Oak Street is now available to pre-order digitally on several major platforms, including Apple TV and Fandango at Home for $25. For those who would like a physical and digital copy, pre-orders for the film in both Blu-ray and 4K UHD as well as a special edition steelbook (which all include a digital copy) are also live at Walmart and Amazon.

Currently, none of these pre-order pages contain a release date, but we’d expect the digital release of the film to come later this fall (perhaps as early as September, depending on theatrical performance), with the movie’s physical release arriving either in late 2026 or early 2027.

When will The End of Oak Street be available to stream for free on HBO Max?

Likely before the end of the year

HBO Max on a TV.

If you don’t mind waiting even longer to watch this movie, The End of Oak Street should eventually be able to stream free for HBO Max subscribers sometime before the end of this year. Exactly when will likely depend on how well the film performs in theaters. For instance, The Bride, which was a Warner Bros. release and flopped at the box office took the fast route to streaming and was released on HBO Max just over two months after it was released in theaters.

However, if The End of Oak Street ends up having some box office staying power, it could take three months or more for this film to release on HBO Max. Either way, I expect The End of Oak Street will be on the streamer on or a little before the holiday season, no matter what ends up happening at theaters in the coming weeks.
